Ben More, a real steep thrutch!

Andy was out on the hill today with Gill, they decided to ascend Ben More 1107m which dominates Crianlarich and the hills south of its lofty summit.

The forecast was spot on! Windy, cold but clearing by lunch time and the veiws were worth the constant up!
Two degrees on the summit! Summer is nearly here?
There is no where finer than the Scottish Highlands when the sun throws light onto the Lochs 1000m below in the glens, however as the photos tell the summit was clagged in!

Coasteering action for Pupils from Oban Hi School.

We were down at Seil Island, 'coasteering', yesterday with the pupils from the second year at Oban Hi School, a keen east wind blew and a small swell kept us entertained.
Its GREAT venue, with a mixture of play spots, jumps and Cliff traversing, something for everyone!

Away from Scotland, as promised the Alps!

Gill, in the trees in new fresh snow!

Andy above a fabulous 800m descent down towards Champery.
Gill and Di, exploring Avoriaz on touring kit.

Some images from Morzine and the snow! Seems strange now the spring is here but i miss the snow already!
We stayed in a great apartment run by the excellent http://www.mountainspaces.com/, three rooms and loads of space made for very comfy accommodation, a welcome change to the normal squashed in rooms!

We still have some snow left high on the Munros up here in the highlands, some excellent walking can be found on old snow in the corries.

Any way the Alps will be shaping up for a pretty good summer i would imagine?
Roll on next years adventures in les Alps!

Surf Kayaking on North Coast and Level five Coach assessment!

Di Forbes takes a steep drop!

Drhue Forbes gunning it!
Collin as ever firing the pocket!

I ventured north to Thurso last week in search of waves!
Collin, Di and Drhue found them, not huge just perfectly formed. We surfed at Strathy Bay, Torrisdale Bay and Melvich river mouth.

The weather was really kind, sunshine and dry winds blew from the south, all easing the stress of my impending BCU level five surf coach assessment at the weekend. Four years of hard graft has led to the stomach churning horror of assessments!

Collin ripped in his new surf boat, Drhue took on the larger sets and Di graceful as ever surfed so well!
Thanks to my long term students for being so supportive and patient and for some amazing surfing experiences around the world and in the Scotland of course!
The great news is i passed!

With the weather to hold we are in for some brown faces by the end of the week.

Ruby wedding party at Tavool House on Mull.

Sandy in the glen lochs, searching for brownies.

Sandy and Anna Bruce came out to Tavool House at the weekend to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary. They were so lucky as the weather was so lovely, spring warmth and hours of sunshine on the lawn at the house.
We entertained the kids and adults, fishing in the glen lochs and gorge scrambling near by the house.

Tavool House is so ideal for all types of parties and gatherings, catered or self catering contact 01631710317 for more details and a flyer.
